Leg Rovers [A] Match Report

Thursday T20... another win for the team, that's four on the bounce.

We've had things coming in twos, then things happened in threes. Today though, here are 20 things about our T20 game:

ONE

We picked numbers from a hat to determine our batting order... but it turns out we all pretty much picked our usual position.

TWO

4 overs in, we were 4 wickets down.

THREE

A guy called Melon, actually bowls melons... but you can't always see them.

FOUR

Sean smashed 28 and retired with a 4.

FIVE

Naushad went one better and smashed 30 by retiring with a 6.

SIX

Harry only hits sixes and singles... oh and got off the mark with a 6 too.

SEVEN

Will needed one more ball to reach retirement (25).

EIGHT

The start doesn't equal the end. We finished 162/5 off 20 overs. Some turnaround.

NINE

Turns out having an old and used pink ball in your bag is super handy.

TEN

After the first 6 overs, Leg Rovers didn't hit another boundary.

ELEVEN

Rich only takes wickets on the last ball of every over.

TWELVE

I beamed a child, hit the top of off in the process and celebrated. Douche.

THIRTEEN

Will, Jamie, Jeremy and Sean only bowled dots or singles (quality through and through).

FOURTEEN

Chris had a shocker, two ducks in a row, collected a maximum fine and we still won.

FIFTEEN

Jeremy might have a successful career as a juggler.

SIXTEEN

Thankfully we're very good at backing up... no one could throw a ball to the stumps or keeper (lets practise that on Sunday pre-game).

SEVENTEEN

None of their batsman made it to retirement (25).

EIGHTEEN

We could barely see the ball at the end.

NINETEEN

They ended up about 93/7.

TWENTY

The Horseshoe is a good post-game-pub.

All round that was a cracking performance... we do need to practise our throwing in to the keeper, something for us to do on Sunday pre-game if we can. All in all we knew we'd win or lose that game in the field, especially as we struggled on that pitch a year ago. But we held strong, we chased everything down and we bowled and fielded brilliantly as a team to take what ended up as a comfortable victory against a side we've lost to three times previously.

Harry, enjoy those bragging rights for the foreseeable.

We look ahead to Sunday, Kennet Valley.

A reminder, this one is now at HOME.

We need 1 more to complete the 11... ideally to allow Malcolm to rest his shoulder.

Whose in?

Go well. Cheers.
